History of Mirgorod spa resort
The history MIRGOROD begins a resort in a 20 age, and more precisely in
1912, as a resort created in place of mineral spring opened local
doctor V.I. Zubkovsky(1843-1933) .From start it was equipped only one
hospital. Built in 1916-1919 she consisted of hydropathic,
dining-room-club and therapeutic baths. Treated oneself here mainly
patients by rheumatism and gout .
In 1927 to
the year the second mining hole of was bored. In the thirtieth
years were built new sleeping corps. In 1937 to the year on a resort
already adopted treatment more than 11000 patients. In 1939 on a resort
operated a year baths of the sulphuretted hydrogens, ingalyatoriy,
therapeutic baths, separation of medical massage, a x-ray photography
cabinet is clinic laboratory.

In time
Great Patriotic war a resort was practically blasted . In one of his
corps a hospital took place for soldiers of vermakhta. With arrival of
soviet army a hospital-sanatorium is here located into 300 places.
From 1947 a
resort begins to be specialized on treatment of nervous diseases, and
from 1953 decease of intestinal-gastric highway. In 1960 to the year
was brought into action fourth mining hole of mineral water.
During 60th
the number of medical and sleeping corps grew considerably, specialized
cabinets, laboratories of .In 1970-73 were built summer movie theater,
house of culture, health beach, corps of sanatorium "Birch Grove"
. In 1976-finished building of sanatorium complex "Mirgorod" have
500 places and the first in Ukraine specialized separation began to
function for treatment of patients saccharine diabetes.
1983 a year
was marked introduction to the line-up of sanatorium complex "Poltava".
From 1991
the sanatoriums of "Khorol", "Birch grove", "Poltava", "Mirgorod", are
included in a resort. In them can simultaneously rest and adopt
treatment 3500 persons. On RESORT PRESENT : polyclinic, water dirt
health complex, cabinets of functional diagnostics, clinical,
bacteriological and immunology laboratory, computer center, cabinets of
instrument room physiotherapy, medical physical education, cabinets of
massages.
